Internship at SP
At SP, we are committed to fostering growth and development, offering high-quality internship placements that empower individuals to learn, thrive, and excel in their careers.
We Value Growth.
Strathearn Psychology offers up to four master’s-level psychology intern positions each year (with start dates in September).
The internship program provides new clinicians experience providing individual therapy to adolescents and adults with added exposure to couples, family and child therapy. These positions are supervised by Registered Psychologists with experience in clinical supervision. Students will have one primary supervisor and have access to a variety of supervisory interactions with other registered psychologists within the practice to maximize exposure and learning.
In collaboration with the objectives set by intern’s home educational institutions, Strathearn Psychology strives to provide interns a safe and supportive learning environment to develop their skills and identity as a therapist. Given the diverse backgrounds and experience of interns, we work diligently to meet interns where they are at in their learning and scaffold their experiences appropriately.
Commitment to Growth.
At Strathearn Psychology, the learning opportunities we provide to our interns are designed to foster growth and professionalism. To ensure that our interns develop the skills and knowledge necessary for their careers, participation in these learning experiences is mandatory. We are committed to your growth and expect interns to demonstrate a similar commitment. Engaging fully in growth opportunities is crucial for building a strong foundation in psychology and for preparing you to excel in your future roles.
